Director of Operations/Senior Project Manager
Position Summary
The Director of Operations is a senior leadership role that drives operational excellence across the company. This position oversees project workflows, construction operations, preconstruction coordination, client communication structure, vendor and trade relationships, and internal process development. The ideal candidate has deep residential construction experience, strong operational ability, and a passion for well organized and predictable execution.
Key Responsibilities
Project Operations
Oversee day to day construction operations, project schedules, and critical path items
Support project managers and field staff with resource planning, issue resolution, and quality control
Ensure consistent use of internal systems such as schedule management, selections tracking, budgeting tools, and communication platforms
Preconstruction Leadership
Coordinate architectural plans, engineering, design documents, and specifications to prepare accurate scopes of work
Improve pricing workflows and ensure trade partners receive complete and clear bid packages
Work closely with the owner to refine preconstruction processes and deliver high quality proposals
Team Management
Lead, mentor, and hold accountable a growing team of construction professionals
Create and maintain standard operating procedures to improve clarity and consistency
Identify staffing needs, support recruiting, and develop internal training
Vendor and Trade Management
Strengthen relationships with subcontractors and suppliers
Oversee trade onboarding, insurance compliance, safety expectations, and performance reviews
Ensure accurate scopes, clean work sites, and consistent quality
Client Experience
Ensure clients receive clear communication, proactive updates, and an organized journey from design through completion
Assist with solving escalations and maintaining a positive client relationship
Process Improvement
Analyze current systems and implement better tools, workflows, and reporting methods
Improve budget tracking, schedule accuracy, and overall project predictability
Support company growth by building scalable processes
Qualifications
Minimum of 7 years experience in residential construction with proven operational responsibility
Experience building luxury custom homes is required
Strong understanding of custom homebuilding workflow including preconstruction, scheduling, budgeting, and field operations
Experience with Buildertrend, Adaptive, Bluebeam, and Procore
Degree in engineering, construction science, or architecture is preferred
Proven ability to lead teams, manage multiple projects, and improve operational systems
Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail
Ability to work on site in the Fort Worth area

Summer/Fall of 2026 Intern
We are seeking a Project Management Intern to support our construction team in managing custom home projects from design to completion. This internship is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in residential construction project management, learn about high-end home building, and work alongside industry professionals. Responsibilities
Assist project managers in coordinating and overseeing custom home construction projects.
Track project progress, schedules, and budgets.
Communicate with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure smooth workflow.
Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor quality and adherence to plans.
Help manage project documentation, including permits, contracts, and change orders.
Identify and resolve issues that arise during the construction process.
Support in procurement and materials management.
Contribute to process improvements and efficiency strategies.
Qualifications
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Construction Science, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
Passion for custom home building and residential construction.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and project management software is a plus.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.
Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and take initiative.

Field Services & Warranty Technician – Full-Time On-Site
Brabec Custom Homes is hiring a Field Services & Warranty Technician to assist with hands-on tasks across our active construction sites and recently completed homes. This is a full-time, on-site position ideal for someone who takes pride in high-quality work, has a proactive mindset, and enjoys being in the field every day.
This role combines construction labor with post-completion home maintenance and warranty support. You'll play a key part in ensuring job sites are clean, professional, and ready for client walkthroughs, while also handling small repair tasks and coordinating subcontractors for more technical warranty & maintenance work.
Jobsite Support:
Daily cleaning and organization of active job sites
Sweeping, trash removal, and general site upkeep
Transporting materials or tools as needed
Punch List & Finish Work:
Paint touch-ups, drywall patches, minor trim work, caulking
Assist with final prep and presentation of homes before client delivery
Warranty Service:
Visit completed homes to assess and complete minor warranty items
Communicate warranty needs to project managers
Schedule and meet subcontractors for specialized repairs when necessary
Client-Facing Presence:
Maintain a professional and respectful demeanor in all client interactions
Represent the Brabec Custom Homes brand with pride and reliability
Qualifications
Experience:
Prior hands-on construction or laborer experience preferred, but not required
Willingness to learn and grow into more responsibility
Skills:
Comfortable with basic hand tools and light construction tasks
Detail-oriented and takes initiative without constant supervision
Strong communication and time management
Trustworthy and dependable — punctuality is a must
Requirements:
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in variable conditions
